After being recalled from his loan at Hartlepool last week, Chay Cooper was on pre-match duties ahead of the U’s clash with Doncaster Rovers at the JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday 23rd April (KO 7:45pm).
The midfielder said: “We know the form they've been in, they've won their last nine games so we know it's going to be a tough game and obviously we've got a lot of pressure on ourselves.
“We know we need to get another point to get the job done, but we've gone into every game feeling that we can win the game, we're confident and the spirit's good.
“We know we need to get a result and it's important for us, so hopefully we can get the job done on Tuesday.”
Speaking about the U’s clash against Notts County last Saturday, the twenty-two-year-old added: “It was a disappointing result on Saturday because we know that we could have gotten the job done then.
“The quicker we get it done, the less pressure it is for us. But the good thing about us at the minute is that we've got such a quick turnaround so we can turn it around really, really quickly.
“So even though the result didn’t go our way on Saturday, we know we've got another chance to do it on Tuesday, and I think we will get it done.
“The spirit's good even though it was a negative result on Saturday. The boys have grouped well together. We’ve recovered well and we're ready for Tuesday and I think we’ll get a result.”
