Enrich Our Communities Impact Report 2023 highlights a year of success.
Colchester United Community Foundation (CUCF) are proud to launch our annual impact report for 2023.
One year into our ‘Enrich Our Communities 2023-2028’ strategy, we are excited to show the amazing work undertaken throughout Colchester and the surrounding area during 2023, across our 4 main departments – Education, Health, Inclusion & Participation.
We have seen record numbers across our Development Centre programmes, the relaunch of our Women’s Team, new partnerships and new projects that have taken us from strength to strength and allowed us to inspire, enrich and unite our communities.
Last week, across our social media, we shared some of the key numbers from our year - £1.1million investment into the local community, 304,000 engagements with our beneficiaries and over 21,000 hours delivered to name just a few!
2023 was a year of growth, not just in terms of numbers on our programmes, but appointing an EDI lead, an environmental sustainability lead and building new partnerships to reach members of the community we may not have impacted previously.
But, overall, 2023 was a year we look back on with pride and allows us to reflect on where we can continue to develop and improve in the years to come.

“This report is external evidence that our programmes inspire, enrich, and unite our communities, each of which are embedded into our organisation. We have continued to place partnerships at the heart of what we do, and it has been amazing to see our commitment to building long term education, health, participation, and inclusion programmes start to materialise.
Ensuring manageable growth whilst providing continual high-quality delivery has and will continue to be at the forefront of our objectives, as a result providing a positive impact in the areas we serve. If we continue to show the passion, dedication and creativity shown to date, we can confidently look forward with optimism to creating further successes together in 2024.
We again enter 2024 acutely aware that factors beyond our control may play a part in our direction of travel. We will need to continue being agile, flexible and recognise that there are likely to be bumps in the road. We do however have a strong infrastructure in place to react, which is underpinned by an exceptional football club at the heart of its community.”
