Danny Cowley has been speaking ahead of the U’s clash against Newport County on Good Friday at the JobServe Community Stadium (KO 3pm).
Previewing a busy Easter weekend, the Head Coach said: “I think for us, we’re used to a five day lead in, but it’s obviously just a four day lead in this time. So slight changes in terms of our preparation but we've had a good week. The boys I think took a lot of confidence from the game against Mansfield and rightly so.
“I think we went toe to toe with probably the best team in the division and if anything, we were disappointed not to win the game by the end of it.
“So, it's been a good week, the boys have been buoyant. I think they've shown energy and enthusiasm but it’s going to be different opponent on Friday, but it’s always a great time of the year, Easter, with two games coming in such quick succession.”
