Youth keeper heads to national camp.

Humes was also happy that the U's were being recognised as a club that has talent good enough for international recognition.

"He has worked extremely hard in his few months with us and this is recognition for that work and the talent he has shown in the games so far this season."

He told the website: "It was great to get the news that James has been recognised at international level.

Head of Youth Tony Humes received the news from the Scottish FA over the weekend and was understandably delighted with the call.

The U's youth team keeper will head north next week for a training camp with the Scottish U18s squad.

James Bransgrove has been called up by Scotland, after an impressive start to the season.

"Over the past few weeks, we have had Sammie Szmodics and Macauley Bonne make debuts for the first team and now we have this news.
"It is further proof that we are doing things the right way in terms of youth development and it is paying dividends."
James will head north of the border next week for the two day camp, travelling up after the U's youth team game against Luton at the weekend.
