U's Flash: Bond Departs

8 January 2014

Andy Bond parts company with U's.

All season though, the former Barrow midfielder has struggled to find a regular place in the U's squad and had a spell on loan at Bristol Rovers, joining up once again with Ward.

The last of that baker's dozen arrived in the final stages of the first game of the season, giving the U's a 1-0 win at Gillingham.

Since his arrival in July 2010, having been signed by John Ward, the twenty seven year old has made 127 appearances and scored 13 goals.

He has had his contract terminated by mutual consent and leaves the U's after three and a half years.

Andy Bond has parted company with the U's.

We wish Andy all the best in his future footballing career and thank him for his efforts.

Following his return from Rovers in October, Bond has only featured sparingly from the bench and it was agreed that he could leave the club with five months remaining on his contract.
