Throughout October, Colchester United Football in The Community will be running a whole host of different types of football courses. Each course offers a unique experience and focuses on different aspects of football depending on the age of the player.
However, if you didn't win, you can still get involved with our fantastic activities!
He will now join our Football in the Community coaches during half term to hone his football skills.
Amongst the many entries that we received to go on the courses this October half term, Max's entry was picked out of the hat and he was photographed on the pitch on Saturday at the game against Wolves.
Colchester United fan Max Pickford was all smiles on Saturday as he was announced as the winner of our recent Soccer Camp competition.

Soccer Camps – Coaching for all abilities both male and female for school years 2-7.
Goalkeepers Camp – This course will include ball familiarity, technical practices, understanding the role of a goalkeeper.
Mini Kickers – An introductory course which helps improve fundamental movements, listening, social and basic football skills.
Strikers Camp – A course that helps you improve your goal scoring ability.
Train Like Pro – For players attending secondary school. Players can come in and taste what it is like to train like a Colchester United first team player.
Tournament Day – For both boys and girls aged school years 2-9. A whole day of small sided games in a tournament style.
Multi-Sports Fun day – An opportunity to participate in a variety of different sports throughout this one day course.
As well as October half term, Colchester United Football in The Community also run term time activities based at WHCS and Shrub End.
Player Rewards on the term time activities that we offer are:- certificate of attendance, a free ticket voucher for a Colchester United game and a Junior U’s package to be awarded to players of the term in each group.
