Praising White, who made over 250 appearances in nine seasons, Dunne continued: "John has been a fantastic servant for the club and an extremely versatile member of the squad.

U's boss Joe Dunne confirmed the news on Sunday afternoon.
White has turned down the new contract he was offered in May, and will look to further his career elsewhere.
The U's and John White have parted company, ending a stay of over a decade with the club.
