Ibehre signs new deal.

Jabo Ibehre is extending his time at the U's, we are delighted to confirm.

The powerful striker put pen to paper on his return from holiday, and promptly had to get on his travels again.

He went straight to the airport after signing his new two year contract, to link up with Joe Dunne and the squad in Ireland for the first week's pre-season training.

Before departing Florence Park, he told the official website: "I'm absolutely delighted to be signed up for another two years and after last season, I'm looking forward to some good times here."

On his reunion with the squad, the thirty year old joked: "I'm also looking forward to meeting up with the lads. Not the hard running I'm sure we'll be doing over there, no one likes that, but getting back with the lads will be good. I can't wait to crack on with the new season."

That new season starts on August 3rd with the first League One fixture and then Peterborough United in the First Round of the Capital One Cup a few days later.

To secure your seat for every home fixture, including the U21s fixtures, get yourself a Season Ticket, which this year includes a Club Shop voucher.
