Dan Set For Wrexham

19 September 2014

Striker due for Welsh move.

U's striker Dan Holman is set to join Wrexham on loan, after the two clubs agreed a one month loan deal on Friday.

Like Rhys Healey's move from Cardiff to Colchester, the move will take place subject to international clearance from the relevant authorities.

The front man could make his debut for Wrexham on TV on Monday, when they take on Chester in their derby match.

"I have personal history with Wrexham and they're a good club and I am sure they will look after him."

"We wanted to get him out at a good level, to make sure that it was a test and a challenge for him.

"We circulated his details for loan and Wrexham made contact with us on Thursday and we've agreed to let him go out, once that international clearance is received.

Boss Tony Humes said: "We spoke to Dan and said that we'd like to get him out to play some football, as he wasn't currently in our first team.

Once the move is approved by international authorities, Dan will spend an initial month with Wrexham.
