Wayne Brown's men have played twice so far this season, drawing against both Hull City and Sheffield United.
They will now hope to get a win against the Addicks, who finished top of the southern section last season.
Fresh from his trip to Wycombe with the first team, Diaz Wright will again turn out for the U23s, whilst a home debut is expected for Brendan Ocran.
