Colchester United have confirmed the first of their pre-season friendlies, as preparations for 2017/18 continue to take shape.
The U's will once again take on neighbours Ipswich Town in a friendly, whilst there are local trips to Maldon & Tiptree and Braintree Town, who announced former player Brad Quinton as their manager on Friday.
Further friendly dates are due to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Maldon & Tiptree – Saturday 8th July, 3pm KO (Away)
Braintree Town FC – Saturday 22nd July, 3pm KO (Away)
Ipswich Town FC – Tuesday 25th July, 7.30pm KO (Home)
