Colchester United are delighted to welcome midfielder Craig Slater as the club's latest signing.
Craig joins the U's from Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee on a two year contract.
Tenacious Craig is the U's sixth senior signing of the summer as Head Coach John McGreal continues to shape his squad ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old, who started at St Mirren, has played 85 times for Kilmarnock, all in the top flight and has represented his country up to U21s level.
Despite interest from other clubs, including those in League One, Craig has opted to make the U's his next move and joins fellow Scot Denny Johnstone at the club ahead of the new season.
His move will be completed subject to paperwork and international clearance.
