Midfielder Murray joins U's League Two push.
Colchester United are delighted to welcome midfielder Sean Murray as our third signing of the week.
23-year-old Sean is a product of the Watford academy and played 85 times - 74 of which came in Championship fixtures, with the rest coming in cup competitions. He scored 14 goals for the Hornets after emerging into the first team in April 2011.
As well as being selected as Watford's Young Player of the Year in the 2011/12 season, his time at Vicarage Road included a loan stint with Wigan Athletic, where he played seven times during their time in League One in the 2015/16 season.
A Republic of Ireland U21s international - he played 11 times at that level between 2012 and 2014 - Sean's next move was a full time switch to Swindon Town ahead of the start of the current campaign.
He has played 23 times for the Robins in 2016/17, including 18 in the league, but will now join the U's to assist our promotion push.
