Slater and Guthrie join injured list
The U's will be without two more players for the remainder of the season.
Craig Slater and Kurtis Guthrie join the likes of Frankie Kent, Luke Prosser and Denny Johnstone in not being able to kick another ball until the 2017/18 campaign.
Slater, who has made thirty two appearances, has been playing with a double hernia and groin problems and has now undergone surgery.
And Guthrie, who has also been a near ever present, suffered an ankle injury last weekend and will also go under the knife.
It is a blow for the U's but John McGreal will be able to call on the likes of Sammie Szmodics and Lewis Kinsella in the coming games, as both have recovered from injury problems of their own.
