U's reach national finals

Colchester United Walking Football Team have once again made it through to the finals of the EFL National Walking Football Tournament to be held at Aston Villa in June.

The U's beat Northampton Town, Stevenage and Oxford United whilst drawing with Barnet in the group stages, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Next up in the quarter final was Peterborough United, who the U's comfortably despatched 3-0.

The semi-final saw us face our adversaries from the Peoples FA Cup, Norwich City, who unfortunately had gotten the better of us in that particular tournament a month previous.

An extremely hard fought game saw the blue and whites come out on top against the Canaries, winning the game 3-1 to go through the day's final against our hosts Luton Town.

Already knowing that we were through once again to the National Finals, the U's had run out of steam and were beaten 3-0 by an experienced Hatters side.
