A Positive Weekend

5 December 2016

Three wins for U's quartet.

It was a positive weekend for the four U's players out on loan, as they all picked up victories for their current teams.

Femi Akinwande lined up alongside former U's front man Dean Morgan as Bishop's Stortford picked up all three points from their long trip to Truro at the weekend.

Despite that victory, Stortford remain bottom of the Conference South table, but are now hot on the heels of the teams above them as the Christmas period approaches.

There was also an important win for Concord Rangers in the same division at the weekend, as they defeated high-flying Hampton & Richmond.

Ben Wyatt completed ninety minutes for the home side as they ran out 2-1 victors.

In the Ryman Premier League, Needham Market kept up the pace at the top of the table, as they beat Leatherhead 2-1.

Callum Harrison played the full ninety and Jack Curtis eighty, as Needham remain a point off top spot thanks to Saturday's win.
