Players Return To Camp

21 August 2014

Second visit to this year's week-long courses.

Milo Downey, who has come into the U18s as a first year this season, had previously attended a number of Soccer Camps as a youngster and he was pleased to return as someone who was now in the U's system.

The day before, members of the Colchester United youth team paid their own second visit to the camp, to help with coaching as part of their education and development as youth team scholars.

Autographs were signed and the players were also grilled on a wide range of topics by kids of all ages.

Assistant boss Mark Kinsella took down most of the first team squad to meet the kids taking part in the second annual camp of the summer, with the sun shining down on the Shrub End pitches.

Colchester United players made their second visit to this year's annual Soccer Camps ahead of the weekend game against Doncaster Rovers. "We want to help them progress and it's nice for us young players to be able to help out with the community.

It's nice being with the kids when they're on these courses.

"I used to do both of the camps in the summer and loved them as a kid and it's great to see so many of them still enjoying the courses now.
