Colchester United’s FREE ticket offer for U11s has gone down a storm in the opening weeks of the new season, as young football fans from across the local area take advantage of our great ticketing prices for the 2014/15 campaign.
The U’s announced in the summer that U11s would not pay a penny to watch their local side in action over the coming months and, despite many families being away during the school holidays and the early games of the season, the new offer has proven very popular.
By the time that the U’s hosted Bradford City on Saturday, the 1,000 free tickets barrier had already been reached and it looks like there will be many more to come in the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

General Manager Tim Waddington said: "We have been delighted by the uptake of the free tickets, both for Season Tickets, multi-game packs and on a match by match basis.
"We have seen new fans and families coming to games as a result of the offer, supporters coming back to matches after an absence, as well as regular fans enjoying a significant saving on their matchday costs as a result.
"Now that the schools are back and the Sunday Leagues are starting again, we’re looking forward to welcoming even bigger groups to the stadium for a great day out."
Tickets in the Family Enclosure for adults start at just £16, meaning that two adults and up to eight children could watch the U’s in action for only £32!
