Since building our new training facility at Florence Park in 2012, the Colchester United Academy has gone from strength to strength.
Bringing local players into the first team through our Academy is key to the long term success of Colchester United and our vision for a home grown team with the passion, commitment and pride to wear a Col U shirt.
During the 2014/15 season our Academy contributed 122 first team appearances, alongside our teams from U8s to U18s playing some of the big name clubs as part of our Category 2 status.
Through our Football in the Community coaches, we carry out a wide range of coaching, covering various sports within the local community, at our facilities here and at Shrub End and also in 35 schools across Colchester and North Essex whilst feeding young players into our Academy.
As our work at Florence Park continues to grow and the team develops we are receiving more publicity and interest in our Academy Teams and we are now looking for sponsors for each of the age groups to really get the community behind our vision for the future of Colchester United.
