But James Bransgrove was relatively untested in the U's goal as the U21s made it another win as the season comes to a close.

After the interval, Sembie-Ferris and Vincent-Young both embarked on winding runs to test King, who fended away their respective efforts to keep Millwall alive in the game.

Macauley was on his toes to react quickly after a horrible mix up at the back for the visitors, and slotted home past King to double the U's advantage.

And, six minutes later, it was 2-0.

He reacted quickest to Dion Sembie-Ferris' shot being parried by Lions keeper Tom King, to nod home from close range.

In a game that took a little while to get into full stride, Macauley grabbed the first after 37 minutes.

Macauley Bonne grabbed a first half brace on Monday afternoon, as the U's U21s saw off Millwall.
