Burton newspaper's appeal before weekend fixture.

"This year we're hoping we can match that – or even beat it.

Mail editor Emma Turton said: "Last year we saw such a fantastic response for Feed Our Families from the generous fans at Burton Albion, and those from Hartlepool who visited the Pirelli Stadium for a fixture before Christmas.

Last season, visiting Hartlepool supporters played their part and now it's the U's travelling support who are being asked to provide some help.

For the second year running, the Burton Mail is running a 'Feed Our Families' project to help families in its circulation area.

Colchester United fans travelling to Burton this weekend are being asked for their help to back a campaign run by the club's local newspaper.

"We're asking both Burton and Colchester fans to bring a tin or packet of food to the game and do their bit to help those families who might be struggling this Christmas."

But what exactly can you donate? Here's a list of possible donations to help you along the way:-
