Hubble Departs U's

19 March 2015

Midfielder seeks pastures new.

He came on as a late substitute in the home game against Crawley last season, but has found it hard to gain a regular place in the U's first team squad.

The twenty year old has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent, having made just one appearance for the U's.

U's midfielder Conor Hubble has left the club.

After progressing through the youth ranks at Queens Park Rangers, the Essex born midfielder joined the U's in the summer of 2013.

Since then, his path into the first team midfield has been blocked by the performances of Alex Gilbey, George Moncur and more recently David Fox.

U's boss Tony Humes said of the departure: "Conor has been unfortunate in the fact that we have really strong competition for places in the centre of midfield.

"His appearances have been limited and it was felt that it would be in his interests to look at kick-starting his career again elsewhere.

"His attitude has been excellent while he has been with us and we wish him all the best for the future."
