U's stars visit FITC course.

The U's players have been visiting young fans on Thursday as the players continue to work hard in the local community before the new season starts..

Boss Tony Humes and assistant Richard Hall took the entire squad to the club's Football in the Community base at Shrub End to say hello to the children on the FITC summer course.

Over twenty of the U's first team were there, including captain Chris Porter and latest signing Elliot Parish, and they all signed various items the children had bought along.

They were also quizzed by the children on all the aspects of life as a professional footballer, before returning to Florence Park for a second training session of the day.

Alex Wynter, who is the U's Football in the Community Ambassador, was pleased to see so many children on the week long course.

He said: "It was fantastic to get over and meet up with all the kids on the course and see so many of them enjoying themselves in the school holidays.

"There were some great questions asked and I hope that knowing what we had to do to get to where we are will encourage them to live healthy lives, whatever their football ability."
