Young keeper signs new U's deal

The nineteen year old, who turns twenty later this month, has been a regular for the U's U21s development squad and has been in a number of first team squads over the course of the season.

He has extended his stay at Colchester United for another season, taking him up to the summer of 2016. Young keeper James Bransgrove has signed a new contract.

He was named on the bench in the recent match at Chesterfield and will be hoping for involvement again next season.

"He has shown in training and in the U21s matches that he is a young keeper with massive potential and we look forward to working with him again next season and seeing him get even better."

U's boss Tony Humes was pleased with the progress young stopper has made, saying: "James has progressed a lot in the past twelve months and fully deserved to be offered a new contract here."
