More on this move and the rest of our loanees.
It was a quiet weekend for our loanees currently out at other clubs, but there was a debut for striker Dom Smith as he began a loan move at AFC Hornchurch.
Dom teamed up with Billy Roast, currently enjoying an extended loan spell at the Urchins, to help them to a 2-0 win on New Year's Day over Grays Athletic.
The striker will be with the Essex side for a month, and will look to help them move up the table after they escaped the bottom three with that win on Thursday.
His fellow U's front man Dan Holman played ninety minutes for Aldershot Town on New Year's Day, but couldn't help his side avoid a home defeat against bottom side AFC Telford.
That was a sixth defeat in seven games for the Shots.
Elsewhere, though, there was little in the way of football for our other loanees, with games postponed due to opponents' FA Cup commitments.
