Young Hammer joins development squad
Following his departure from West Ham, the eighteen year old has signed a U's development contract, which begins on July 1st. Kieran Bailey is joining Colchester United.
Kieran appeared for the U's U21s towards the end of last season and impressed enough to be offered a permanent deal here in north Essex.
Boss Tony Humes was pleased to get the young Hammer on board, saying: "We have high hopes for Kieran, he fits in with what we want to do here."
"We have already had a good look at him and feel he is more than capable of progressing into the first team squad.
"With him already having trained and played with us, he knows what we want and we know what he can do so he should be able to hit the ground running when we're back for pre-season training."
