Coaches Conference

21 April 2015

U's stadium to host FA event.

Colchester United will be the 'East' region venue for the forthcoming FA Licensed Coaches' Club Regional Conference, where Level 1-4 coaches can learn about the new 'England DNA' and gain valuable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours on Sunday 10th May.

Attendees can learn from elite peers at the Weston Homes Community Stadium from 9:30am-5:30pm.

Overall, the hope is that coaches leave the seminar energised about the outlook for English football and the part they can play in helping The FA to secure a brighter and more successful future.

This summer 'England DNA: Playing Your Part' will feature prominently as FA Licensed Coaches' Club's Conferences take place across the country.

It's an outline of how The FA want England teams to play in the future, and the type of England player they aim to develop.

Included in the event is detail on how The FA want to coach, educate and prepare players as well as the values and beliefs which will form the England culture.

England DNA is a current, developing plan to create winning England teams.

There are many ways to produce elite players and elite coaches and England DNA is an opportunity to put down on paper what The FA believes in. It will always be evolving and improving, and additional ideas are crucial.

The FA Licensed Coaches' Club aims to raise standards in coaching across the game by ensuring that coaches keep their training and qualifications up to date.

It forms a key part of The FA’s Youth Development Review and Coaching Strategy as, in today's ever-changing game, it is essential that coaches at all levels keep up to speed with new techniques and advice.

Coaches must meet various criteria in order to join and members also need to commit to a certain level of CPD training every year to retain their licence.

Level One coaches should complete three hours per year - five for Level Twos. This event provides the perfect opportunity to complete six hours of CPD.

To book a place, visit http://bit.ly/EnglandDNA or call (0800) 085 2012.

The cost is £50 for FA Licensed Coaches, and £75 for non-FA Licensed Coaches. Tickets include refreshments throughout the day, lunch and course resources.
