Crowds On The Rise

6 May 2015

U's attendances grow by 4%.

Colchester United's attendances grew for the second season running in 2014/15, with crowds up 4% on the season before.

Assisted by the club's exciting U11s for free campaign, attendances totalled 89,390 at an average of 3,887.

That's up by 152 per game on the previous season, as crowds continue to move in the right direction.

The average of 3,887 is the eighth highest of the last forty years and provides a strong platform for the U's to push on from in the coming 2015/16 campaign.

The U's finished the campaign with a season high crowd of 8,413 on Sunday, which was the sixth highest crowd for a Colchester game since the club's switch to the Weston Homes Community Stadium seven years ago.
