Exclusive: U's Trial Nigerian Striker

U's boss Geraint Williams will take a look at Nigerian triallist Akanni-Sunday Wasiu when his side play their first pre-season game at Tiptree United on Wednesday evening.

The front man, who has previously played for FC Vilnius in Lithuania, had been with St Albans last season and will look to impress the U's management at Chapel Road.

He grabbed three goals in twelve appearances for St Albans last season and has been with the U's for the past fortnight, following a brief trial spell at the end of last season where he trained with the first team squad.

We will have the full squad news online within the next hour and the game against Tiptree United kicks off at 7.45pm.
