Colchester United will be closing down for a short spell as they move across to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

With the keys handed over on Monday, the club's administration staff have been busy packing over the past forty-eight hours in preparation for the move on Thursday morning.

The club is now closed for business and no administration staff will be contactable all day Thursday.

All endeavours are being made to ensure we are up and running as soon as possible in terms of telephone and internet connections on Friday - updates will appear on the official website later in the week.

"It is going to be a busy couple of days for everyone involved and we ask that people bear with us whilst we make the transition," U's Chief Executive Marie Partner told the official website.

"We will try to get up and running again as soon as possible, but we would like people to be patient in the meantime."

With the U's moving over in the next 48 hours, the stadium site is not yet public access and we would ask that supporters wait until the start of next week before coming down to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

We will also provide information on this matter next week.
