A Little Bit Extra

Posted on: Thu 11 Sep 2008

The matchday experience has been enhanced once again ahead of the game against MK Dons next Saturday by the installation of televisions in concourses around the ground.

The installation process took place on Thursday, ahead of next weekend's visit of Roberto Di Matteo's side to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

There are TVs in the concourses in all four of the stands at the U's new stadium, including the South Stand for our visitors through this season and beyond.

The TVs - provided in a partnership with Sports TV - will show Sky Sports, allowing fans to watch the early kick-off as well as the half time and full time scores.

U's Chief Executive Marie Partner told CU-FC.com: "This means that supporters can enjoy our brand new concourses, allowing them to grab a drink and something to eat with friends whilst watching the televisions and the entertainment on show.

"That should allow arrival times ahead of the game to be staggered over a longer time frame rather than the rush we saw at the Oldham match.

"We would encourage our supporters to enjoy the social side of the afternoon before getting behind the team at 3pm.

"We have tried to maximise the services on offer to supporters and hopefully this should mean a trouble free afternoon."
