Exclusive: Lockwood Goes To Barnet

U's left back Matt Lockwood will spend a month on loan at Barnet in the search for match fitness.

The defender, who recently returned from a three month lay-off to feature in the U's last couple of reserve team games, has joined the League Two Bees for a month on deadline day.

He battled through the snow on Monday morning to sign the relevant paperwork and will join up with the Bees for a four week spell in the quest for match sharpness.

Barnet currently sit 21st in League Two, following a narrow 2-1 defeat at Exeter City on Saturday afternoon.
