Defensive Options Bolstered

Posted on: Tue 24 Feb 2009

The U's will be looking to complete their third double of the season on Tuesday night when Stockport County come to town.

In Paul Lambert's first game in charge back in October, the U's won 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Clive Platt and they'll be looking to repeat that in their latest midweek game.

There is just the one change to the U's squad as Paul Reid returns following his one game suspension.

The U's will also wait to see how Steven Gillespie has fared following his return from injury on Saturday. He played 25 minutes at the weekend as the U's looked to get back into the game against Southend.

County come to town looking for a win that could lift them into the top six as they continue to impress in their first season back at this level after promotion via the play-offs last year.

U's: Walker, Cousins, Maybury, Tierney, Heath, Coyne, Reid, Baldwin, Perkins, Hammond, Izzet, Wordsworth, Hackney, Vernon, Platt, Wasiu, Gillespie, Yeates, Gobern, Guy
