Who says maths is boring? They certainly haven't ever tried it the Tolleshunt D'arcy Way!

At St Nicholas Church of England VA Primary School, a whole day was recently dedicated to a Maths and Football Challenge.

Four hundred children had a go at a series of different maths trails.

Even better, the rain stayed away and Colchester United Community Sports Trust (CUCST) coaches led a beat the goalie challenge and football circuit competitions.

Dan Woodrow, Deputy Headteacher, said: "The coaches were polite, helpful and brilliant with the kids.

"The whole day was a brilliant success. Everyone had a great time."

The school has kindly shared the resources with CUCST - so watch out for more maths challenges in the stands at the Weston Homes Community Stadium next season.
