Communicating For Success
A new activity is set to launch helping families work together to get healthy through sport while using state-of-the-art technology to record their experience.
The Communicating for Success project is being run by Colchester United Community Sports Trust in partnership with the Football Foundation and Telecom.
It is designed to engage families in physical activity by helping them to achieve a Sports Leadership award.
They will also have the opportunity to use the Apple Mac computers in CUCST's EdUc@eUtd Study Support Centre to create a digital family memory of their experience.
As part of the programme families will take part in six physical activity sessions on Friday evenings at the Weston Homes Community Stadium between 6pm and 8pm.
There will also be one classroom based activity day which will run in conjunction with the Community Open Day on Sunday 2nd August.
Craig Rulton, Education and Sports Link Officer for CUCST, said: "This looks set to be a great project helping families to have a go at some sporting activities while improving their IT skills.
"We would love to hear from anyone who would like to take part."
Family groups of one parent and a maximum of two children aged between 7 and 12 are invited to take part in the Communicating for Success sessions.
To sign up or for more information contact Craig on 01206 755159.
Applications must be received by 6th July.
