Supporters using the stadium car park on matchdays are set for a hugely improved service in the coming season, after Colchester United signed up with car park management company Total Car Parks for the 2009/10 campaign.

As part of the U's ongoing efforts to improve supporters' matchday experience, the club have brought in Total Car Parks to run the car park on all first team games this year.

The U's are keen to continue to reduce egress times from the car park over the coming months and the experience of Total Car Parks, run by Essy Eslamian, will go a long way to helping the club achieve their goals.

"We are delighted to be working with Essy and Total Car Parks," Operations Manager Sean McQuaid said.

"We have worked hard to identify the areas around a matchday which needed improving and the car park is one of our focal points in the coming season.

"We are keen to assist supporters to get away from a game safely and quickly after a match, and Essy's experience in this matter will go a long way to achieving that."

Whilst based in Colchester, Total Car Parks are a national firm. All of their staff are trained for all eventualities and will no doubt ensure an improved experience for supporters in the 2009/10 season.

Managing Director Essy (pictured with Sean McQuaid above) added: "I have lived in Colchester for a long time and from day one, I saw that the stadium was an exciting project to be involved in, working alongside a local community club.

"We are really passionate about what we do and proud to be from Colchester, so when I saw that the car park wasn't very successful for the club in the first year, I was keen to get along and play my part.

"As we have that experience in car parking, we know that we will help improve things and Colchester United won't let their visitors down in a key part of the day and in what is often a first point of contact.

"We want to make sure that supporters are coming to the stadium and are being looked after.

"We are customer focussed people and we want to bring a great service to Colchester United fans and give a very different view of the car park in the coming months."
