BETTING TIPS BY CHARLIE ALLEN
This weekend sees football's elite finally get underway with the first set of Premiership matches set to kick off.

With The Football League already a week old there is plenty of money to be won and hopefully I can help with that!

Lets start with The U's though who play Yeovil. After their early exit in the Carling Cup in midweek, the U's will be looking to bounce back with a win.

However, Yeovil picked up three points as well on the opening day and will be looking to add to those.

The U's are 8/11 to bag their first home win of the season with The Glovers 7/2 to take away all 3 points. You can get odds of 5/2 for the teams to share the spoils.

Scott Vernon looks likely to be handed his first start of the season and is 11/2 to bag the first goal on Saturday.

The Glovers main goal threat will more than likely come from lively forward John Obika who has re-signed on loan from Tottenham after a successful spell at the end of last season.

Obika is 11/1 to find the net first and he might well be partnered up front with Sam Williams who had a brief spell on loan with the U's last season.

The ex-Villa man is 10/1 to score first.

My prediction for the game is: 2-1 U's (7/1)

This week's accumulator tip: Leeds, Bradford, Brentford, Man Utd, Chelsea and Millwall

Best Bet: Scott Vernon first scorer (11/2)

Now to the top flight.

Chelsea are 2/1 joint favourites to win this years title under new manager Carlo Ancelotti with Manchester United also at 2/1 to regain their crown.

Moneybags Man City are 10/1 to win the title.

At the other end of the table Burnley are 8/13 to return straight back to the Championship, Hull (10/11) and Birmingham (evens) also tipped for the drop.

Last season's top scorer in the Premiership was Nicolas Anelka with 19 goals and he is 10/1 to top the charts again after 38 games.

Fernando Torres is the favourite to score the most league goals at 7/2.

After his two goals for England in midweek, Jermaine Defoe is 20/1 to bag the most goals with Eduardo (25/1) as an outside bet.

Best Bet: Eduardo top scorer each way (25-1)
