Can Scotty Do It Again?

BETTING TIPS BY CHARLIE ALLEN
The U's face Leeds this weekend in front of what will no doubt be the biggest crowd at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this season.

There is sure to be a great atmosphere in the ground and hopefully Joe Dunne can lead the team to a victory in what could be his last home game in temporary charge.

The U's are priced at 21/10 to win the game with Leeds favourites at 5/4. The draw is priced at 12/5. No surprise with these odds as Leeds currently have a 100% record in the league.

As far as goals are concerned, Leeds star striker Jermaine Beckford is 5/4 to score at anytime during the match.

As for the first goalscorer odds, Beckford is again favourite at 9/2 with his partner up front Luciano Becchio 13/2 to bag the first goal.

Kevin Lisbie is next up with odds of 13/2 himself. Clive Platt (13/2) returns from suspension to go into contention for a place up top with Lisbie, but Scott Vernon (8/1) scored in two of the three games that Platt missed so can feel slightly disappointed if he finds himself on the bench.

Leeds managed to leave Colchester with a 1-0 win last season and are 6/1 to win by the same scoreline this year.

The U's will be looking to get back to winning ways after their loss to MK Dons and are 10/1 to win 2-1.

I can see the match being very close like last year and think a 1-1 draw at 6/1 is a good bet. For all the optimists out there the U's are 25/1 to win 3-1 and with the crowd sure to get behind the U's, you never know!

Leeds are 2/1 to be winning at half time which looks a good bet.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Chelsea (1/7) will be looking not to slip up in the same way Manchester United did against Burnley (20/1).

Bolton (6/1) host Liverpool (8/15) at the Reebok and if the Reds were to lose again, Rafa Benitez' time may well be almost up.

He is currently 5/1 to be the next Premiership manager to part company with their club.

In the first real big game of the season, Manchester United (6/5) face Arsenal (5/2).

The youth of Arsenal may well cause United a problem in this one but its always tough to look past United at Old Trafford.

The draw looks valuable in this one at 9/4.

U's v Leeds prediction: 1-1
Best Bet: Leeds to be winning at half time 2/1
Accumulator tip: Chelsea, Blackpool, Walsall, Huddersfield and Bradford
