Loan Duo Return To U's

U's loan duo John White and Matt Heath are back at Colchester United, following the completion of their respective loans at Southend United.

The two defenders spent a month down at Roots Hall, with both playing in six of the seven games the Shrimpers played in August.

With a new managerial appointment expected soon, though, the duo could be back in U's colours when the Johnstone's Paint Trophy gets underway against Gillingham on Tuesday night.

The U's have one or two injury worries following the game against Leeds United on Saturday, but will still name a strong team in line with the competition rules.

Those regulations state that a team must name six of its top eleven appearance makers in its starting eleven for the lower league cup competition.
