Colchester United boss Aidy Boothroyd believes his side can keep their calm and maintain their unbeaten run at Millwall this Saturday.

The U's manager, who was due in store at U's Central on Thursday afternoon, knows that the Lions will be flying after their win last week against Leeds United.

Kenny Jackett's side are the only team to beat Leeds so far this season and, with a vocal home support behind them, Aidy is well aware that focus will be the order of the day at The Den.

"I like those sorts of atmospheres and challenges and it will be a fantastic occasion," he said on Thursday morning.

"Both teams are doing very well, so something has to give. It will be a tight and tense game and one little thing might make the difference. Those are the games you want to win.

"I think we have got the character and resilience to take on this challenge and the biggest test we will have is do we got the emotional control and intelligence to cope with the situation?

"I would say that we have - it is important to be focussed on our game and not worry about the crowd and the referee, and our players will do that on Saturday."
