Tierney Returns For Lions Clash

The U's have been boosted ahead of the weekend trip to Millwall by the return to action of defender Marc Tierney.

Marc missed the match against Walsall last Saturday, having collected five yellow cards and earning a one match ban.

However, he is now back and available and likely for an instant return to the starting eleven, following Matt Lockwood's loan to Dagenham & Redbridge on Friday morning.

There is also a return to the squad for midfielder Kem Izzet, who had been out of action a week ago, having been suffering from illness.

Pat Baldwin is touch and go for the trip to London, having now returned to training and match action in the reserves' win over Barnet on Tuesday.

Ashley Vincent remains sidelined following his ankle operation, but the U's also see Paul Reid back in the squad for the first time in seven months.

Paul had been missing after fracturing his kneecap against Huddersfield Town last season, but is now a contender once again as the U's look in good condition for the game against Millwall.
