Buying a ticket is now simpler than ever, thanks to our new look online ticketing service.

The club have been busy working behind the scenes over the past couple of months to ensure that the online experience is more polished than ever, meaning that it takes no time at all to get hold of your tickets for the U's push for promotion this season.

Originally launched to coincide with the club's move to the award winning Weston Homes Community Stadium in the summer of 2008, the online ticketing site has always been popular with those fans who aren't always able to get to the club's two shops to purchase a ticket.

And, following a revamp that means the site is slicker than ever, fans of all ages are expected to flock to colutickets.com to book their place to see Aidy Boothroyd's boys in action.

Ticket Office Team Leader Alex Hales is delighted with the new look site, and said: "It is important to us that our fans have as many channels open to them as possible when purchasing tickets and an online facility is one of them.

"After reviewing our previous website, we felt that it was quite 'clunky' and it was apparent that the user friendliness of the site was not where we wanted it to be.

"Dominion were brilliant throughout the whole process and it was clear to us that they had the understanding and knowledge to help us achieve in creating a ticketing website that delivers a first class purchasing process for our fans.

"The new look website has a like-for-like stadium guide which you simply click into the relevant seat block you wish to sit in and select your seats from a live plan.

"We hope that fans will enjoy the new website and make good use of it as the team push for promotion."

The rebuild of the site has put together by local web design company Dominion, who have worked closely with the club to ensure that the ticketing site is one of the best out there.

The U's are proud to work with local companies and Carol Bell, Managing Director of Dominion was pleased to link up with the Weston Homes Community Stadium side.

She said: "It was great to work with Colchester United to design and develop the website for purchasing tickets online.

"It is essential to provide the fans with a straightforward and user friendly interface to make purchasing online easy.

"In my experience, simplistic processes are always the most difficult to achieve - the challenge was to ensure our design and visuals of the stadium integrated with the existing systems.
