North End Confident Over Cup Clash

The U's game against Preston in the FA Cup Third Round is no doubt, as Aidy Boothroyd's men prepare to head to Lancashire.

With the pitch at Deepdale having been protected over the past few days, and the surrounding areas having been regularly gritted, North End are confident that the game will go ahead.

The U's will take on the Championship side as they hope to make the Fourth Round of the competition, with Preston having parted company with manager Alan Irvine in the week.

Although ticket sales have ceased from the club's outlets, U's fans can buy tickets on the day for the game in the north west.
