Key Duo Return To Action

The U's have been boosted ahead of their trip to Stockport County this weekend, with the return to fitness of two key players.

Paul Reid has recovered from his groin injury, which has ruled him out of the U's last four games, having seen an osteopath last week.

However, the combative centre half may have to wait for his chance after some excellent performances by Matt Heath.

Kevin Lisbie is also back in contention for first team action, having shaken off the thigh injury which has sidelined him in recent weeks.

Following on from the U's win over Southend United earlier in the week, John-Joe O'Toole and Kayode Odejayi have both recovered from the problems that saw them substituted during the second half.

Meanwhile, former Stockport County loanee Christian Ribeiro - currently on loan with the U's - is likely to miss the game against the team for whom he played against Colchester earlier in the season.

He has aggravated his groin injury and is likely to find the game against the Hatters coming too soon for his recent recovery.

Ashley Vincent came through Wednesday's reserve team outing unscathed, but hasn't travelled to the north west as he continues his comeback from five months out with an ankle injury.

*U's midfielder David Perkins will also not be able to play against his parent club as part of the terms of his loan deal to Stockport.
