U's boss Aidy Boothroyd wants his side to keep up the pressure on the top two this weekend, with two home games in the space of four days.

The U's moved to within three points of the top two with a win over Yeovil in midweek, but Aidy knows that the visit of Oldham will present a difficult test in the first of those two matches.

He told the official website: "We have momentum - the results went for us on Tuesday night and now we have got to maintain that.

"We have got two home games coming up and we want to play both to see if we can get maximum points to consolidate our position and to keep an eye on those above us.

"These are the hardest games. I don't have to do too much in bigger games, and getting results in these games is the difference between sides that finish mid-table and the ones at the top.

"We have to be mentally strong enough to grind out results, no matter who we're playing, what the weather is and whatever the conditions."

Leeds and Norwich are the teams in the U's sights at the moment and a maximum return from the next two home games could make life interesting as February comes to a close.

"We have to focus on us and the only way we can maintain the pressure and the anxious feelings amoungst our competitors is by winning.

"Grinding out a result can do that, and now we're only three points behind the top two, but we have to keep going."
