Brentford Game Called Off

Colchester United's game against Brentford has been postponed.

Following persistent heavy rain over the weekend and subsequent inclement conditions, the playing surface at the Weston Homes Community Stadium had become saturated.

Match official Keith Hill arrived at 4pm to take a look at the pitch and, with the snow and rain starting up again, it was decided that the pitch was not playable.

At this early stage, no new date has been scheduled.
