The CUFC Plus membership offers a wide range of additional benefits, including a voucher book for supporters to use in businesses in Colchester and its surrounding area.

That voucher book, which is produced in conjunction with the Daily Gazette, will enable fans to recoup the money they spend on their season ticket, with a host of superb discounts and offers.

Commenting on the Discount Voucher scheme, chairman Robbie Cowling said: "I'm most pleased to be able to include among the benefits a book of discount vouchers for use in a range of businesses in and around Colchester.

"We are currently putting the final touches to the scheme and hope the benefits go a long way to helping both our fans and local businesses."

For example, one local Colchester garage will give fans a 10% discount off their next service on presentation of one of the vouchers from the book, and there will be many other similar 'lifestyle' offers.

Robbie said: "Our minimum aim is to make the sum of these discounts to be greater than the price of the season ticket and we invite all fans to join CUFC Plus either by buying a season ticket or joining the membership club."

"The only cost to businesses joining the scheme will be the discount they are prepared to offer the Col U fans buying their product or service.

"I'm not trying to make any money out of this, I just want our fans to support local businesses and local businesses to give discounts to Col U fans", Robbie added.

By taking part and offering discounts for their products local Colchester businesses will gain exposure to Col U season ticket holders and club members.
