With a few days having passed in which there has been time to reflect on the closely fought defeat to the hands of Millwall, we popped down to the Ticket Office to chat with some of the staff to see what their take was on the game and the U's current position.

In the first of what could become a regular feature, we asked them a few questions, and have collated their answers
on the club's website to give the fans an opportunity to see what the Ticket Office staff think:-

Do you think the Millwall score was fair reflection of the game?
Alex Hales: No. I think we were the better side over the course of the 90 minutes, although maybe we could have taken a few of our chances a bit better.

Chris Saward: No, we showed a lot of character and the own goal was one of those that loops over the bar 9 times out of 10. A draw would have been a fair result.

Tom Tayler: No, I think at least a draw was deserved. It was just unfortunate with the own goal and we didn't convert our chances.

Who was your U's Man of the Match?
Alex: Marc Tierney. After missing a few games through injury he slotted perfectly back into the team as if he'd never been away. Tough tackling and wearing his heart on his sleeve!

Chris: Marc Tierney. He looked totally up for the game, fully committed and worked extremely hard to cover all the neccessary ground.

Tom: Ashley Vincent up until he came off. He was absolutely nailing their left back and made several opportunities in front of goal.

What did you think of the atmosphere?
Alex: Millwall made a lot of noise, as expected with 3,000 in attendance, but I was mostly impressed with the response from our fans, especially the South Stand.

Chris: I thought it was pretty good. It was encouraging that even when we were losing and then drawing the fans were still really behind the boys.

Tom: It was a good atmosphere overall. Colchester fans did well, but you can't deny the good vocal support of the Millwall fans… I especially loved Eddie's Horn!

How do you think the U's will do for the remainder of the season?
Alex: Looking down the fixture list it won't be easy but we can still make the Play-Offs! A few decent results, starting on Saturday and a vital win against Huddersfield could see us there.

Chris: I think we will turn it around and pick up the points for a Play-off place. It would be great to have another trip to Wembley!

Tom: The performance from Monday showed that we still have enough to go on a decent run and hopefully get the wins we need for a Play-Off place.

How will the U's do on Saturday against Swindon?
Alex: I can see a U's win here. We've had a bit of a bad run as every team does but think we'll turn it around against high flying Swindon… as always happens in football!

Chris: Despite Swindon being in a great league position, I think Colchester have that little bit more to offer in this game in front of the U's faithful.

Tom: WIN! WIN! WIN! We really showed against Millwall that we're still fighting and it's about time we got three points. Hopefully a great U's crowd will help this too!

So don't forget, you can purchase your tickets for the important clash against Swindon on Saturday from either U's Central, the Stadium Club Shop, online at www.colutickets.com on the Ticket Office low call rate hotline 0845 437 9089. Up the U's!
