U's boss John Ward has been looking for his players to have made their mark in training over the past couple of days as he prepares for the trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Following last week's home reverse against Chesterfield last Saturday, John is considering changes for the trip to Brisbane Road and told the official website that what he sees in the last two training sessions will tell him a lot.

He said: "Thursday morning is a good leveller to see if i've got the right brightness about the group as a whole and the individuals in particular, and that can sway me or convince me.

"I've got options within the squad and there is some versatility with the players that we have here."

One player who won't be in contention for the game against Orient is Matt Heath, who has injured his groin again, having looked set to return to first team action in the near future.

"It's not the same groin injury as last time, but it's in the same area unfortunately," he said.

"We won't rush him back and we'll make sure he's fit and ready to go before he comes back into the team."

Ticket sales at the Weston Homes Community Stadium have ceased for Saturday's game, but they will be available to buy on the day at Brisbane Road.
