Is your pet truly one of a kind - does it deserve the Pet Idol 2010 crown?

This weekend sees the return of the popular Pet Idol competition held by Rats, Cats and Elephants at Bypass Nurseries, Capel St Mary, in association with Stour Valley Photography.

Entry to this fun competition is free and easy - simply contact Rats, Cats and Elephants on 01473 314183 to register your pet and book your photography slot.

And, if you're there on the Sunday, you'll get to meet U's hero Eddie the Eagle, who is busy preparing himself for his own photoshoot at the weekend as a surprise late entrant!

David and Julie Tilling, owners of Rats, Cats and Elephants said, "We are really looking forward to this year's competition - it's so popular now and such great fun - we get all sorts of entries!

"And with two new categories this year for the Most Unusual Pet and Best Rescue Pet - we're expecting some real surprises and some really deserving entries.

"As with our previous Pet Idol competitions it's free to enter and there are lots of prizes to be won, so why not come over and join in?"

Pet Idol 2010 will be voted for by members of the public - voting starts on Monday 22nd February via the Stour Valley Photography web site (www.stourvalleyphotography.com) and the photos will also be displayed in-store for voting from Tuesday 23rd February.

The Most Unusual Pet category will be judged by Rats, Cats and Elephants.

The Best Rescue Pet category will be judged by The Blue Cross branch at Felixstowe - who are also the chosen charity for Pet Idol 2010.

Winners will be announced in-store on Saturday 27th February.
